A free phone number for your business
The Google Voice App allows you to make calls/send texts via a number that is assigned to you with an area code of your choice.
You can create your own number by going to voice.google.com and logging in with your Gmail account.
The calls will transfer to your phone through the Google Voice app. Once you have your phone number, you can create your voicemail message. You can then start making calls from your phone or your computer. You can also use the service to send and receive text messages.
When you receive a voicemail, you’ll be able to access it in the Google Voice app and receive a copy of the transcript (and recording) to your e-mail.
When you receive a call, you’ll hear an alert that someone is calling the Google Voice number. You’ll then have the option of answering or not. And if you decide to call back, you can decide to have your Google Voice number show up on the person’s caller ID instead of your telephone number.
Spam Filter
Google gathers information from all of the calls marked as spam by individuals, puts it all in a database, and then uses it to automatically detect and prevent those calls from coming to you. The feature works for incoming calls, text messages, and voicemails coming from numbers identified as spam.
